Beyonce Talks About Gaining 57 Pounds in Baby Weight

Losing the baby weight after giving birth is no walk in the park. Many new moms feel the strain of baby weight and experience the struggle to reclaim their pre-baby bodies. Beyonce’s experience was no different.

Beyonce is one talented and beautiful woman, but shocker — even Bey had to work hard to shed the pounds after giving birth to her daughter Blue Ivy.

“I did a show three months after giving birth, which was crazy,” she said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey. “I had clearly never given birth, and I didn’t know that I would gain 60 pounds — 57 pounds.”

Whatever she’s doing, she’s doing it right.

Beyonce also revealed that having Blue Ivy didn’t take away her fierce desire to perform, which is good for us Beyonce fans since she totally rocked it at the Super Bowl. Baby weight? Where?

We all know that Bey has always been an ultra private celebrity. She hardly speaks about her personal life, and this includes her husband and hip-hop mogul Jay-Z. Although, this is about to change with her new documentary coming out. Still, it was awesome to hear her talk about being Mrs. Carter.

“I would not be the woman I am if I did not go home to that man,” she said. She also revealed that she was friends with Jay-Z for a year and half before they began dating. It all started out as a budding romance over the phone. How old-fashioned and adorable.

We’re glad their romance evolved from phone chats to create the power couple that is Bey and Jay-Z, and also birthed little Blue Ivy.

Now if only Beyonce would reveal her baby weight loss secrets. Don’t tell us it’s something as common sense as working out and eating healthy. We want deets, Bey.
