The Bachelor’s Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici Are Waiting Until Marriage
Nowadays, being chivalrous and romantic means saving the last onion ring for your partner, or remembering not to talk about your friend’s relationship problems while your guy’s watching the game. In 2013, true romance is finding your potential love on live TV and proclaiming your born-again virginity.
The Bachelor’s Sean Lowe and his final-rose-winning fiancee Catherine Giudici have done just that. I mean, they found “love” on TV and are talking about waiting to bump uglies. There’s no word on whether she lets him have the last onion ring.
“From my perspective, I’ve lived life kind of selfishly for a long time,” Lowe told People. “Now, I’m going to try to live it the way I know to be right.”
The “right way” for Lowe means waiting until they’re married to be intimate. But Lowe isn’t a virgin, according to People. He’s a “born-again” virgin — whatever that means. I think once you’ve lost it, it’s gone, my friend.
How does Catherine feel about his decision? She seems to be cool with it.
“I honor him,” she says.
One part of me thinks this is adorable, while another part of me feels wary of such a decision. Physical chemistry is a big part of a relationship. It’s not everything, but it’s a huge part of being in a committed partnership.
But I’ve got to admit, it is freaking romantic.
