Joey Fatone Advises Justin Bieber: ‘Don’t Be a Douche’

Joey Fatone has some advice for Justin Bieber: “Don’t be a douche.”

The former N’Sync member, 36, appeared on Huff Post Live to promote his new cooking show, My Family Recipe Rocks – and to help out the Biebs.

Justin has come under scrutiny these last few weeks, from his comment in the guestbook at the Anne Frank House to today’s tour bus raid that uncovered marijuana.

“Don’t be a douche. That’s plain and simple,” Joey said. “You get this bug from the celebrity thing, where you’re very on top of the world and everyone’s ‘yessing’ you to death, so you’re like, ‘I can get away with this. I can do that.’ Not to say that he might be doing anything wrong — or he might be in the wrong mix of people, in his camp.”

Luckily, Justin has a good manager: “I know Scooter Braun very well and he’s a great guy, very cool,” Joey continued. “I’ve known him for many years. He’s his manager and does as much as he can. But [Bieber's] a kid. You’re going to have fun. You’re going to lash out. You’re going to make mistakes. Everybody does.”

(I guess there’s a fine line between making mistakes and douchebaggery?)

Joey isn’t the first celebrity to offer advice to Justin. After the pop star posted a series of shirtless Twitter photos, actress Olivia Wilde told him, ”Bieber, put your … shirt on. (unless you lost all your shirts in a fire in which case my condolences and please purchase a new shirt.)”

Naturally, Olivia got a flurry of threats from crazed Beliebers.

“I think people misunderstood, thought I was mean-spirited and didn’t realize it was said with love,” she told Jay Leno.

Now it’s time to give Joey Fatone some advice: don’t criticize Bieber or you’re going to face the wrath of the Beliebers!
