Court Rules Pizza Company Must Pay for Employee’s Weight Loss Surgery
A court in Indiana recently ruled in favor of an obese employee, forcing the company he works for to pay for a weight loss surgery his doctors say he needs in order for them to operate to fix a back injury he suffered on the job. The company claims they are not responsible for the weight loss surgery as he was over weight before the accident. The ruling has many scared that companies are going to start thinking twice before hiring employees with certain health concerns.
