Authorities probably wouldn’t have noticed that she traveled to India to film a documentary on child labor for the BBC on a tourist visa rather than the required work visa – until she lied on Twitter about how many children she saved. Check out the video:

LiLo, who is also in the midst of suing E-Trade for calling one of their commercial babies Lindsay, wrote on Twitter: ”Over 40 children saved so far … Within one day’s work … This is what life is about … Doing THIS is a life worth living!!!” She later Tweeted, ”Focusing on celebrities and lies is so disconcerting, when we can be changing the world one child at a time … hope everyone can see that.”

But according to activists leading the raids, Lindsay didn’t even arrive in India until after the raids had been completed and the children had been rescued.

What do you think? Did Lindsay trivialize the issue of child trafficking, or are we missing the big picture? Were her intentions noble?

According to The Huffington Post, James apologized to his wife and three children from previous relationships through a statement: ”It’s because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way,” he said. “This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them.” He added that “the vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded,” but offered no other details, saying, “Beyond that, I will not dignify these private matters with any further public comment.”

So what does that mean? He’s sorry that he cheated, or he’s sorry for the pain caused by everyone thinking he cheated? If most of the rumors are untrue, I wonder what IS true.

It’s every divorced man’s dream job to be charged with the responsibility of bringing in his ex-wife, who jumped bail, in to the authorities. When she gives him the slip to chase the new story of a lifetime, they find themselves on the run and fighting to stay alive.

Forest Whitaker and Jude Law work together in a futuristic world where life-saving organs are leased out by major corporations. If you can’t pay, the repo men come to take back what you were given. When Law finds himself on the receiving end of an organ he can’t afford, his partner comes after him to collect. Action-packed and edge of your seat thrilling, “Repo Men” (R) is one I can’t wait to see.

Based on the award-winning children’s series by Jeff Kinney, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” (PG) chronicles the hardships of a young man in middle school. Even if you don’t have kids, this family looks like it’s just plain fun.

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning team up in “The Runaways” (R), which chronicles the early years of Joan Jett and Cherie Currie. Under the thumb of an overbearing manager, life on the road isn’t easy. Drug exposure and hardship shape the duo, but life in the spotlight isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be.

The thing about actors is that they get paid to pretend to be someone they are not. Not the case for New York native, Vince Rizzo, who’s been lying to his wife every week about where he’s really going on poker night. He’d rather let her think he’s having an affair, than tell her the truth about the acting classes he’s been taking. As the lies unravel in “City Island” (PG-13), starring Andy Garcia, Rizzo’s entire family discovers it’s easier to tell the try than it is to keep spinning a web of deceit.

The IMAX space team put together Hubble 3D, a three dimensional journey through other galaxies that will dazzle science and space lovers. At this time it is limited release only, so check your local IMAX theatre for details on its availability.

Wait a minute. Don’t call your bookie to cash in on your winnings just yet. It seems none of this is true. Phoenix’s reps are denying that the actor is attached to the project. What this demonstrates is how Phoenix, with the help of overzealous bloggers (myself included) has turned himself into some sort of mysterious cult figure. Shrouded in grizzly facial hair and a swirl of rumors, only surfacing in strange Youtube videos, Phoenix has become akin to the Loc Ness Monster. Or Big Foot. People proclaim to have seen these monsters, but certain proof of their existence never materializes.

Which, in Phoenix’s case, is sad. Because he’s such a great actor. But I’m not 100% convinced he’s not doing the project. His reps deny he is currently “attached.” But that doesn’t mean it wont happen. Plus, the film’s not even up on IMDB.com yet. It might just be too early to tell if this will be Phoenix’s return ticket to Hollywood. And a fitting role, needless to say. Perhaps Phoenix’s erratic behavior and mysterious reclusivity is preparation for playing Poe.

If true, the sexts reveal a control freak who wanted violent sex with submissive women. ”There were certain things about our relationship that were not conventional,” Joslyn said. “There were times when I did feel he treated me a little bit poorly … There were a couple situations when he was a bit more aggressive than usual.” Did Tiger ever hurt her? ”I’m not going to discuss that,” she said.

Some of the texts are pretty raunchy. In one, Woods supposedly demanded a specific sexual act and then asked her if she ever hooked up with “other guys or girls.” The same day, Josyln says Tiger texted, “I  would like to have a threesome with you and another girl you trust,” and “I want to treat you rough.” You can click here for more.

This entire debacle really makes you wonder if sexting is ever worth it. It can be fun to message your partner, but what if things go wrong? Would you ever want those texts made public? Maybe it’s only a problem for millionaire athletes.

Every time Tina Fey does a new magazine spread, I love her even more. HuffPost reports that this time my fave funnylady is all over Esquire, with equal parts silly and sexy. The photos feature the Date Night star in a little black dress, causing general mayhem by throwing drinks, standing on dinner tables, going crazypants with lipstick and even getting handcuffed to a cop.

Tina says that certain things were dealbreakers in the mag: “I got an e-mail [from Esquire] with a list of the potential setups, and my e-mail back was like, Well, I need to decline being handcuffed to a bed. I won’t straddle anyone. I won’t make out with a cop,” she said. “There are certain things, I totally get them as a premise. And they’re all good fun, and if I were a young single model, they would be appropriate, but, you know, I’m a mom. And my kid’s going to find this someday. I don’t want to be handcuffed to a bed in Esquire.”

Is she the “thinking man’s” sex symbol? “What I’ve come to realize is that when people say, ‘The thinking man’s whatever’ — there’s no such thing,” she says. “The thinking man also wants to f%#k Megan Fox.”

And as always, Tina’s keeping it real. “I think my level of fame will drop back down,” she says. “I think it’ll recede. In fact, I know it will. That’s life on planet earth. And I’m okay with that. Besides getting tables at restaurants and special treatment at the airport, what else is there?”

A source told the mag that Sandra left the Southern California house she shares with James just days before the report of infidelity by her husband surfaced. In other suspicious news, Sandra abruptly canceled her trip to Europe for the London premiere of The Blind Side, and Jesse cancelled his Twitter account.

Bullock and James, 40, met in 2004 during a tour of the set of the Discovery Channel’s Monster Garage, which James starred in. The couple married a year later, in July 2005 in a sunset ceremony at a ranch north of Santa Barbara attended by 300 guests.

E News points out that both Sandra and Jesse have had marriage trouble with others in the past. Sandra was engaged to her Love Potion No. 9 costar Tate Donovan, but things didn’t work out. She also dated football star Troy Aikman, musician Bob Schneider, Matthew McConaughey and Ryan Gosling, but none led to marriage.

Jesse had two failed marriages under his belt before he met Sandra. James has two children with his first wife, Karla James, and one with his second, adult film star Janine Lindemulder.

Born to musical parents, it is only fitting that Sheryl Crow grew up to be the musical icon we know and love today. Crow graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia with a Bachelor’s in Art and Music, but before she went on to dazzle crowds with her beauty and unique musical style, she was an elementary school music teacher in Missouri. Being a teacher not only kept her spreading her joy and love for music to young minds, it also afforded her the time and opportunity to pursue her musical career.

It was during her early years as a teacher and weekend club performer that Crow met with small-time music producer Jay Oliver, who encouraged her to provide the voice on a number of commercial jingles. After a McDonald’s jingle that earned her a cool $40K, Crow went on tour with Michael Jackson as a backup singer during the 1987-1989 “Bad World Tour.” Performing with Jackson onstage regularly singing “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You,” exposed her to enough people in the music business that her career started to take off.

Her quickly growing popularity put her in the hands of Phil Collins, who produced her debut album, but the record company wasn’t impressed. After rejecting the album, bootlegged copies were distributed that to this day are still widely downloaded on file sharing networks. From there, Crow went on to perform in the Tuesday Night Music Club, dating fellow musician in the group Kevin Gilbert. Over time, Gilbert and Crow fell out when they began arguing over song credits, and before they reconciled, Gilbert was found dead in his apartment.

Despite the falling out, members of the group are listed in the songwriting credits on Crow’s debut album, The Tuesday Night Music Club, which earned her three Grammys and put her in the spotlight where she belonged.

Throughout the course of her career, Crow has worked with musicians like Burt Bacharach and Eric Clapton, and has written numerous hit songs for radio and film soundtrack. She has been tied romantically to a handful of celebrities, including Clapton, Owen Wilson and athlete Lance Armstrong.

In 2006, Crow was diagnosed with breast cancer, much to her dismay and surprise. The disease was not prevalent in her family, and though she had dealt with the hardship of cancer while engaged to Lance Armstrong, it was still a major shock. After undergoing surgery and radiation therapy, Crow beat cancer head on, and went on to record a new album. Interviews hit the media, detailing her battle and new outlook on life. Since her recovery, she appeared in a Revlon commercial, performing a Buddy Holly song — with the proceeds from the song donated to cancer research. She also provided vocals on the song “Just Stand Up” with all proceeds going to the Stand Up to Cancer foundation.

Today, Crow is mother to a little boy she adopted back in 2007, and more active than ever in her music career. So what makes her an amazing lady? She followed her dream into the music business, first spreading her love for song to children as a teacher. She withstood the odds in the music business, and despite the struggles she faced, she still managed to come out on top. She battled cancer and won. If that’s not amazing, I don’t know what is!

In her new memoir, Lonely, White attempts to give loneliness—a state, as she puts it, of “frightened isolation”—its proper place among other diagnosed conditions. Suffering from chronic loneliness as she does, White wants this “stigmatized” experience to be not only officially recognized by the world at large, but to be honored as an affliction worthy of extensive research and given its very own category in the next DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders), the fifth version of which is due out in 2013.

The manual is getting longer and longer, with the fourth version including “caffeine-induced anxiety disorder” and “nicotine dependence” among its afflictions. You might remember my article about orthorexia (obsessive healthy eating), which is another candidate for inclusion in the book. It seems ridiculous to include so many “conditions,” but the danger of exclusion is that therapists and psychiatrists might brush symptoms aside as part of the human condition or confuse them with the symptoms of other disorders.

In the book, White herself struggles to distinguish chronic loneliness from depression. Although she admits to suffering from both, she believes depression has been given more than enough press and is now understood by the culture at large to be a legitimate illness, worthy of empathy and care, while loneliness continues to be misperceived as a “light, minor, and occasional problem.” White’s book also includes research from “loneliness researchers” from Arizona to Scotland and responses from “about 20″ other sufferers she found via Craigslist and her blog.

Michelle claims that she had an 11-month affair (including 5 weeks of sex) with Jesse while Sandra was off shooting her Oscar-winning performance in The Blind Side. “I would never have hooked up with him if I thought he was a married man,” Michelle said. “He gave me the impression they were separated.” Michelle said their relationship was intimate and not just a one-night stand. She says she even called Jesse, who didn’t wear underwear or condoms, by a special pet name, “Vanilla Gorilla,” because…well, you can figure it out.

Michelle sent West Coast Choppers a friend request because she hoped to snag a modeling gig there, and was surprised when Jesse himself wrote her back. From the start, Jesse wanted to meet Michelle, and it was never about business: “He started saying, ‘Do you want to hang out?’” Michelle said. When she asked about Sandra, he was evasive and she assumed they were separated.

Ahh, stop! This is another woman’s husband! Do you think it’s true, or is Michelle just looking for publicity? E! News suggests that maybe it’s a curse of the Best Actress Oscar.

Amanda Seyfried got to know Julianne Moore very intimately in the movie Chloe. Two words: sex scene! According to People magazine, Julianne Moore’s character hires a prostitute, played by Amanda Seyfried, to tempt her possibly cheating husband (Liam Neeson), and a buzzworthy sex scene ensues.

Julianne approached it like any other scene. “Was it different because it was [with] a girl? No,” Julianne said. “Whenever you have an intimate scene with somebody, you’re very prepared. Everyone knows exactly what’s happening and it’s usually very choreographed … Amanda and I were comfortable with each other.”

Moore, 49, said that Amanda, 24 was “lovely” and “quite impressive.” But Amanda wasn’t so comfortable right off the bat; she admitted being so “intimidated” that she tried to back out of the movie. ”The risk factor came with the fact that the nudity could potentially create some damage with my American audience,” she said. Still, “I had to do it. It was clearly the riskier choice but I think the better choice.” (I bet the Europeans were completely fine with it…why are we so prudish?!)

Amanda also showed off her sexy side in the latest issue of Esquire, where she donned lingerie and a lacy body stocking.

Now, Amanda says the love scene is her most memorable moment on the set of Chloe. “The love scene,” she said. “I’ll never forget that.” I’m sure she won’t be the only one.

Okay, so maybe “Mad Men” Barbie doll parties wont happen, but I love the dolls. No, I won’t spend $75 to buy one, but they sure are nice to look at. And just as stylish as their TV counterparts, even though they bear little resemblance to the actors other than hair color. The most noticeable discrepancy is Joan’s much thinner frame! I guess Barbie’s not ready for a voluptuous doll? What a shame.

Obviously these dolls aren’t for kids. Unless you happen to be the parents of some seriously mature-for-their-ages offspring. They are part of a premium-price collectors’ series called the Barbie Fashion Model Collection. “Mad Men” has become a cultural phenomenon. Being immortalized as a collection of Barbie dolls only seals the deal.

Sadly, cocktails are not included. Shucks.

“I would love to make a full-on, no bullshit Western,” he declared. “I’d love to make a romantic comedy, and take it out of the ghetto it’s been exiled to.”

He continues, (because he’s awesome):

“True Romance’s title was not ironic. Sure, James Gandolfini almost beats Patricia Arquette to death and she has to blow him away with a shotgun, but that doesn’t mean it’s not romantic. It just has to be done my way, and I think people want me to do it my way.”

Tarantino does have a way with romance. If you saw Jackie Brown, there is a breathtaking moment when Max Cherry (Robert Forster) gets his first glimpse of the inimitable Pam Grier as Jackie. The world seems to slow down as she approaches him and suddenly the jaded bail bondsman is reborn as a young man in love.

He also knows when actors have great chemistry together, so he’d avoid any miscasting — a huge flaw in most Hollywood rom-coms. Tarantino knew, for example, Uma Thurman and John Travolta would look good dancing together, long before we did.

Well. I’ll say this much. This movie doesn’t even exist yet and I’m more excited for it (the rom-com) than I will ever be over some Gerard Butler-Aniston pairing, or a Tom Cruise-Cameron Diaz outing. NEXT! I shout into the cinema heavens.

CNN’s Fredericka Whitfield had said on air: “It’s so strong, so suggestive, so sexual, so violent as well, that MTV has said, ‘We’re not even going to air this, so it has banned the airing of this video.’” All of this was stated without citing a source.

People seem to have been pretty touchy since this same cable channel removed the “music television” part of its famous logo not that long ago, thereby deeming it irrelevant by many in both the music industry and in the music blogosphere. So MTV has dodged the “I” word, for a little while longer.

Michel Gondry will have nothing of it anyhow. When asked if he would ever direct a Lady Gaga video, he brought intelligent discourse to the pop cultural table:

“I’m not interested,” Gondry said. “To me it’s like a form of Marilyn Manson. It’s hard for me to talk about it; I’ve seen a couple of videos of hers, and not for very long. I stop watching them each time because I don’t think there’s melodies.”

He ended with: “But maybe it’s considered high art just because of the way she dresses?”

Quentin Tarantino famously lent his Pussy Wagon from the Kill Bill franchise to Lady Gaga for this video.The video comes off as a Tarantino-esque revenge tale, but with no Tarantino. One can’t help but ponder if Gaga’s music was better, she would attract more top-notch directing talent.

Now that I’ve irritated you for the day, sound off. Do you still watch MTV for the videos? Will I ever stop detesting Lady Gaga’s music? Or am I just secretly angry that Lady Gaga brought back the giant shoulder pad look?

It looks like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is trying to attract more dancing queens. According to Time Magazine, Swedish group Abba was inducted yesterday, and some are questioning the decision.

“I didn’t think this would happen,” Abba co-founder Benny Andersson told Rolling Stone back in December, after the 2010 nominees were announced. “We were a pop band, not a rock band.” So what’s the deal? Is the Hall of Fame going in a new direction? Last year’s additions of Madonna, Joni Mitchell, Run-DMC, James Taylor, Michael Jackson and the Bee Gees also showcased a decidedly pop flavor.

Abba has had 10 Top 20 singles in the U.S., and despite the fact that Abba hasn’t performed together since 1982, the hit Broadway show and movie Mamma Mia! have made them one of the best-selling groups in history. But are they rock and roll. The 30 music historians, journalists and industry executives who make up the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s nomination board say yes.

“Our definition of rock ‘n’ roll is very broad,” says Jim Henke, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s vice president of exhibitions. “It’s not just skinny white guys who play guitar.”

Also inducted this year were Genesis (prog rock), Jimmy Cliff (reggae), the Hollies (British Invasion rock) and the Stooges (punk). “This is the perfect class of inductees,” says Henke. “Rock ‘n’ roll has developed into all those subgenres. They’re all related.”

When you have kids, a divorce can wreak havoc on their psyche. For years we all heard about how divorce affected children, many of them believing their parents split up because of something the child did. In a society where just thirty-years ago, divorce was taboo and people stayed together for the sake of the children–even if they were miserable, I can definitely see where this theory came from.

Telling my daughter that her father and I were getting a divorce was probably the hardest thing I ever had to tell her throughout the course of her life. When I sat down to talk to her, she was confused and shocked, as she never saw it coming. The dysfunction of our relationship as a couple had never really been something she was exposed to, so it was a big surprise. Scared, she asked what would happen to her? What would happen to the family atmosphere she had known all her life? Was it somehow her fault?

Once I assured her it was not her fault, we sat down and discussed the future. I let her know on the spot that just because her father and I weren’t going to be together anymore, she still had two parents.

A couple of months after we separated, she tested the waters to find out how true that was. Would her father and I band together as a parental unit if she acted out? You better believe it! Even as we had our differences, we still had one piece of common ground between us: her. There would be no playing us against each other, or trying to use our separation as a weapon against us. I think that shocked her a little bit, but it was a good shock. It let her know that she wasn’t alone in the world, no matter how she felt after her family fell apart.

Getting a divorce is never easy on the kids. It shatters their whole universal ideal, and some kids never recover from it. I worried at first that my child would be one of those kids, but as weeks turn into months, and months into years, she grows into her own person. The fact that her father and I don’t draw swords every time we see each other, facing off in epic duels, is probably one of the smartest things we ever did as parents. It shows that we still respect each other, and because of that she hasn’t lost respect for us either.

Relationships fall apart for a number of reasons, but showing your kids that they are still part of a family is important for holding them as people together.

“Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year,” their lawyers say in a statement. “The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement. Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children.”

Kate and Sam were married back in 2003. They have a son, Joe, age 6. Winslet also has a daughter, Mia, age 9, from her first marriage to Jim Threapleton, an assistant director she met while filming Hideous Kinky in 1997.

This makes me so sad! They always seemed like such a down-to-earth, happy couple — and they clearly were successful when they collaborated. I feel like there are so few examples of Hollywood couples making it work. Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard? I guess we can always look to Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. Sandra Bullock and Jesse James have also been pretty adorable lately.

Kate will no doubt keep busy post-divorce. According to IMDB, she has three projects in various stages of  production: an untitled Peter Farrelly/Charles Wesler project and the TV series Mildred Pierce and Contagion. Can’t wait to see her again!

Schwimmer reportedly met Buckman in London while he was there directing the 2007 comedy Run Fatboy Run. According to IMDB, he’s also directed segments for Little Britain USA, and is in post-production on a feature titled Trust, starring Clive Owen and Catherine Keener. More recently, Schwimmerlent lent his voice to Madagascar 2 and Christmas special Merry Madagascar. Since Friends, he has also co-founded the Lookingglass Theater Company in Chicago, where he has starred in productions of Our Town, The Jungle, West, Eye of the Beholder and more.

Schwimmer met Buckman when she was working as a waitress at the Cuckoo Lounge in London. From Monsters and Critics: A friend said, “David is smitten with Zoe and says she is ‘The One’. Things have moved very fast. He wanted to see how they got along living together and it has been a big success.”

Although no wedding date has been announced, the couple has hinted that it will be soon.

Whether you’ve seen the “Treadmill video,” checked out their latest single, “This Too Shall Pass” (over six-million YouTube views!), heard that they’ve left EMI Music, or maybe read Damien Kulash’s New York Times Op-ed, pop-rockers OK Go are currently being very Googled and/or Youtubed. Recently, I had a chance to ask bassist and vocalist Tim Nordwind a few questions about leaving the big, bad record label, fighting the good fight for bloggers who love their embed codes, and how the heck they come up with their video concepts!

Tim, thanks for being with us. So, now that you’re no longer with EMI, do you feel a huge burden lifted off your shoulders or what?

Tim Nordwind:

Ah, it’s interesting to not have your own independent label, you know? It’s been a day since we left our label so it’s a little bit hard to discuss how things are going. But this marks an extremely exciting time in our career, and really, the sky’s the limit at this point. It’s incredibly exciting, it’s incredibly liberating, and it kind of really couldn’t have happened at a better time. There’s a lot of exciting things happening in our world and it’s sort of great to see our new music video doing so well, and we’re about to do our North American tour. Also, we’re making another video at the end of March, so it’s exciting. It marks a new era for us and I’m looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for us.

I read the New York Magazine article where you said that you guys choose the song after settling on the concept for each video. Why is that?

TN:

Well, there’s no set rule, but it certainly has worked out like that, where we’ll have a concept that we really like a lot, and usually what we’ll end up doing is sitting down and sometimes we’ll do, say like, tests of the visual concepts and play all the songs to the tests and see what sort of interacts with the visual the best. It’s interesting how audio affects the visual and how the visual affects the audio. We’ll often find that sometimes the visual makes the fast song seem slow, strangely, or sometimes the visual makes a love song seem almost angry — it’s hard to know why. But then usually what ends up happening is that there will be one song that works very well with the visual and it sort of makes both the visual part and the audio part seem almost three-dimensional in a way. Like, “Whoa! The whole thing just pops!” and you’re like, “Yes! That’s it!” and all of the sudden you’re getting a burst of emotion, and that’s generally when we say, “Okay, that’s got to be in a song because it’s making us feel some kind of intense emotion,” whether it’s happiness or sadness, or whatever it is; if it’s making us feel something, then we generally try to go with it. But again, there are no real rules to it. I don’t know if someday we’ll write a song that will make us think of a visual or something like that, but that’s sort of how it’s worked so far.

We embed videos all the time on our online magazine blog and it’s incredibly annoying when you see that “Embedding Disabled,” text in the code section. Do you think all labels will follow suit to release the embed codes for the rest of their artists?

TN:

I mean, sure, yeah, I think labels should list the embedding codes and let their fans share everything with everyone; it just seems to make sense. It’s like, why do you want to censor where people can see your fans’ videos? I understand why they do it, but they certainly don’t make money selling records anymore, and some bands get millions and millions of hits on their videos, so of course they want to try to monetize that. And that makes sense to me, but I think what’s more important, especially from a band’s perspective, is that as many people hear your music and see your videos, you know? Unfortunately, what bands want and what labels want are sometimes different because the bands just often wants the exposure so that more people want to license their songs and come see them play live, and get a t-shirt or what not, but the labels don’t profit off any of that; they only profit off of you know, the sale of the song, the sale of the record, or the sale of the things they have the rights to, and so, generally the labels want slightly different things than the bands do a lot of the times. And of course, bands would love to sell millions and millions of records, but in this day and age where no one does that, or practically no one does that, you know, you start getting bigger and bigger discussions about what the bands want and what the labels want.

Yeah, definitely. It’s tough because everything’s digital these days too.

TN:

Well, that’s exactly it. But all in all, having the ability to embed videos is HUGE, and as far as I’m concerned, it’s necessary. That’s how people pass things around and share things with their friends, and so, if you don’t have that ability, it makes it really difficult.

You recently released a statement that you and EMI have officially parted ways, so does this mean more State Farm sponsored music videos?

TN:

I don’t know, I mean, we would certainly be willing to discuss that. They were really great sponsors in the sense that, they let us do whatever it is that we wanted to do, and they are sponsors and we did something creative, and they let us make a really great rock video. If they wanted to do more, we probably would be very interested in working with them again. It was a great way to get our video made; I think we’d certainly be open to doing that or working with other sponsors, or however it shakes down. It definitely was a good experience; it just kind of let us do our thing, and that was great.

What do you think it means that you were able to secure financing for your videos without the help of a big name record label?

TN:

We were just glad it [financing] came from somewhere, as far as getting sponsors for the video. It felt like this is how things are going in the modern age, and that this might be the way videos are getting made in the future, through sponsors instead of labels and things like that. And if that’s the case, for the most part, I feel alright about it. I’m sure there are some sponsors we’d rather not work with; I’m sure there’s some people’s money we wouldn’t take, just out of principle, but not because of business practices. State Farm seemed like an easy one, a no brainer; we were totally fine with the business practices and they seemed very excited about having us make this music video so it worked out well. I think it just sort of felt like, “Wow, this is how videos will be made in the future.”

You guys are visual artists and musicians, and props to you for always have control of publishing, merchandising, touring, and so on. Do you think that the changing music industry landscape will not only allow for more musicians and artists to allow their work to be seen but also financially support themselves? How so?

TN:

I mean, it’s strange. I think because of the internet, it’s now easier to find every single garage band in every single little town across America because people can have their own websites, put things on their MySpace, etc. In that respect, I feel like music is healthier than ever in the sense that you never have play a show ever and people will know who you are, and that’s great. I don’t think that speaks very much on people being able to make a career out of music or support themselves with it, but it does sort of speak to the fact that it is easier than ever to be creative and share things with people. I don’t know how every single music video is going to be made in the future; I can say that working with a sponsor was a great way to get this past video done, and I can see it working for future videos for us and working for other bands as well. But it’s hard to know. I don’t know what the labels are going to do in this new era of music distribution, so I really can’t tell you how it’s going to work, but I can suggest that the way we seemed to make our last video worked really well. I’d be happy to try to work more videos in that way.

What is the strangest video concept that you haven’t considered yet?

TN:

We actually have a fairly long list of video concepts that are kind of in the making at this point. We’re making another video at the end of March and then another one probably in the beginning of June. I can’t really give you specifics, but I can tell you they all sort of explore different aspects of choreography for the most part. This last video we did was sort of exploring choreography in specifics and I think we will continue to explore different aspects of choreography and sort of stretch the meaning of choreography. But I can assure you we actually have a decent list of videos that are coming up in the next year.

Romantic comedy fans will want to check out “She’s Out of My League” (R), starring Jay Baruchel and Eve Alice. An airport security guard falls in love with a high maintenance beauty, and can’t understand what she sees in him. In order to keep up with her, he’ll have to work overtime, but he’s barely been able to hold down a job as it is.

If drama is your thing, or you just like Robert Pattinson, “Remember Me” (PG-13) kicks off this weekend. Pattinson plays a rebellious college student with a difficult relationship with his father. Hard-hearted and a little tragic, he begins to loosen up and let himself love when he meets a young woman who seems to fill the void. Secrets unravel, revealing a truth powerful enough to tear them apart, or bring them closer together.

Matt Damon stars in “Green Zone” (R), which explores the aftermath of the Iraqi invasion. While searching for weapons of mass destruction in Baghdad, Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller begins to suspect that the military operatives in charge are amassing a major cover-up. Amidst cover-ups and lies, Miller recognizes that the truth is the most dangerous and powerful weapon of all. “Green Zone” has a full cast of Hollywood superstars, including Brendan Gleeson, Greg Kinnear and Amy Ryan. If you liked the Bourne movies, you’ll enjoy “Green Zone.”

Anyone who’s ever gotten married, or is currently planning a wedding will appreciate “Our Family Wedding” (PG-13). Upon returning from college and announcing their wedding, a young couple finds their big day out of their hands, as their fathers battle it out for supreme ego, and the bride’s mother takes over to plan the wedding of “her” dreams. Tempers and egos fly out of control, as both families go overboard, pushing the couple closer together than ever.

Relationship drama is on high this weekend a the movies. I’m planning a wedding right now myself, so I’ll definitely be checking out “Our Family Wedding.” Hope to see you there!

After taking more than half of the current season off to film a movie and connect with her adopted daughter, Heigl was scheduled to return to the Grey’s set on March 1 to begin work on the season’s last five episodes. But when the date arrived, Heigl didn’t come to work. Sources can’t seem to agree on the drama that has gone down; one claims that Heigl “was at home and ready to return to work,” while another inside “insists it’s much more complicated than that.” The source adds that talks between Heigl and ABC have been going on for months and last week both sides mutually decided that the best solution would be to part ways now. Basically, that means that we’ve already seen Izzie’s last episode (unless she’s going to come back as a ghost and have sex with people).

Despite the show giving Heigl major star power (and earning her an Emmy in 2007), she’s been pretty vocal about her dissatisfaction with Grey’s. In 2008, Heigl announced she didn’t want to be considered for an Emmy because she said “did not feel I was given the material… to warrant a nomination.” Ouch! She also complained to David Letterman about working a 17-hour day, saying “I hope it embarrasses them.”

“It’s unfortunate because she walked the red carpet at the Oscars and she owned it,” Jessica continued. “She was beautiful. There was no denying that she did not think she was the most beautiful person on that red carpet. She was just owning that moment for herself. She had such confidence and I absolutely 100 percent think she could get anything in the world that she wants.”

Though she wears a smaller size, Jessica Simpson understands what it’s like to be criticized for your weight. She’s put on a few curves since her teen idol days, and was bashed for wearing “mom jeans” at a concert last year. “After all the public scrutiny that I went through in the past year, I felt I was just stripped of everything,” she said.

Jessica’s new reality show The Price of Beauty follows her and best buddies Ken Paves and Cacee Cobb as they travel the world exploring different cultures’ ideas of beauty. The show premieres March 15 on VH1.

Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter declined Friday to identify the drugs. He says an autopsy was done Thursday, but his office is awaiting the results of toxicology tests that could take two months before determining a cause of death. Haim was experiencing flulike symptoms in the days before his death at age 38.

The findings coincide with the information Haim’s friend and costar Corey Feldman told Larry King in an interview. Feldman said that Haim was seeing a specialist and was taking a number of prescription medications. Though Feldman said Haim’s relationship with illegal drugs was “long and detailed,” he did not think they played a part in his death. He said that Feldman was doing the best he ever had, and that he had reformed himself to take care of his sick mother.

Actress Brittany Murphy was also experiencing flulike symptoms before her death in December.  An autopsy found that she experienced cardiac arrest from multiple prescription drug intake, and that her death was an accident. According to the FDA, as many as 3 billion prescriptions are written annually.
